St Francis’ Jarrod Jefferson set the pace as the Knights defeated Clay 30-13. Jefferson carried the ball 31 times for 262 yards and had two touchdowns. The Knights would end with 387 total rushing yards on the night. St. Francis improved to 2-3 (1-1) for the season, while Clay fell to 1-4 (0-2).

Fremont Ross 40   Lima Senior 17

Ross hit hard in the beginning, building a 40-0 lead by the third quarter against Lima Senior. The Little Giants had several impressive offensive performances in the game, including Jabree Lather, who ran 83 yards on 19 carries and scored three touchdowns. Another great showing was from Ross’ QB Tyler Wolf. He ran in two TDs and had 83 yards on 11 carries. Wolf also had a passing TD and finished the game 4-of-7 for 87 yards. The pass TD was a 53-yard toss to Skylar Reffnar.

 Lima Senior fought back late in the game but couldn’t overcome the huge deficit. Lima Senior QB Devon Allen went 12-for-26 for 131 yards and had two late TDs. During the late comeback, Lima scored 17 unanswered points, but it wasn’t enough and they lost 40-17.

Findlay 31  Central Catholic 7

Findlay held the Fighting Irish’s offense to just 152 total yards and one touchdown to stay undefeated and remain tied with Whitmer for first place in the TRAC.  Central Catholic scored their lone TD on an 80-yard run by Amir Edwars on the game’s third play. After that, Findlay’s defense only gave up 72 yards and no points for the rest of the game.

 The Findlay offense was led by Paul Cosiano, who was 11-of-17 for 182 yards as the team improved to 5-0 (2-0). CC fell to 3-2 (1-1) after giving up a season-high 31 points.
