NDA-Eagles-15-300x300Notre Dame Academy’s Bryttni Carpenter is committing to play lacrosse for the DePauw University Tigers.  She will major in communications and broadcast journalism.  Having played lacrosse all four years, Ms. Carpenter can’t wait to hit the field at the collegiate level.  “I am really looking forward to playing this sport in more challenging environment,” she said. “Everyone who plays in college seems dedicated and totally committed to their sport and  I am ready to be a part of that commitment.”

As an NDA All-Academic, Ohio School Girls Lacrosse Association Academic All-Ohio, and  Most Improved Player on varsity last year, Ms. Carpenter said, “I think one my assets is being able to anticipate the others teams next move on the field and I want to continue to improve that intuition for DePauw.  Moving forward, I really want to work on my interception skills. Being able to intercept the ball causes turnovers and is a quick momentum change for the team!”

Off the field Ms. Carpenter is dedicated to academics as well. She has earned academic honors every semester all four years. She will receive an International Baccalaureate Certificate in Theatre and Film had has taken AP U.S. Government and AP Literature as well as Honors Pre-Calculus, Honors Math, Honors Chemistry, and Honors Theology. As NDA, she is a Diplomat,  a member of Pastoral Core Team – Service, Swim Team, Bowling Team, Executive Student Council Media Tech, WNDA Broadcast Team, Life Skills Club, SJJ Fall Play.  In the summer, she volunteers at the Toledo Lucas County Library working with youth and the Summer Reading Club.
