Notre Dame Academy’s Megan Anderson will continue her education and play volleyball at Ohio Northern University.

NDA-Eagles-15-300x300Notre Dame Academy’s Megan Anderson is committing to play volleyball for Ohio Northern University where she will major in Athletic Training. Ms. Anderson has played volleyball at NDA all four years, was a varsity captain senior year, and is a two-time Coach’s Award winner.  She is also a two year member of the NDA track and field team where her events are shotput, discus and long jump. Ms. Anderson is involved in LEAP Club and Pastoral Core team.  My favorite place to be is on the court,” Ms. Anderson said. “It is there that I feel at home and relaxed.”

Findlay’s Grant McKinniss signed to play football at The University of Kentucky.

Grant has been the Trojans kicker since his Freshmen year where he has continued a long line of college bound kickers from Findlay High School. Grant holds school records for career extra points with 145, most field goals with 29, and longest field goal of 53 yards. He also holds school records for number of punts and punting yardage for a career. Grant finished as the 4thleading scorer in school history with 232 points.  Grant has the distinction of being the only 4 time first team all Three Rivers Athletic Conference player as he has been the first team kicker 4 times and the first team punter 3 times. He was third team All Ohio as a sophomore, second team as a junior, and first team All Ohio as a senior.  Grant was selected to punt in the prestigious Offense /Defense All American Game in Daytona Beach Florida this past New Year’s Day, and was selected to kick in the Ohio North South Game this April in Dayton.

020316_Findlay_EmmanuelMogolu_SigningFindlay’s Emmanuel Mogolu signed to play football with Ashland University.  Emmanuel, Mani leaves Findlay High School as the second leading rusher in school history with 3,135 yards.  He is also third all-time with 44 TD’s and is the 3rd leading scorer in school history with 264 points.  Emmanuel finished his career as the all-time leader in all-purpose yards with 4,494 yards which include rushing, receiving, kicking and punt return yardage. Emmanuel was selected as a first team NWO running back both his junior and senior year and was selected first team All Three Rivers Athletic Conference running back his senior year. Emmanuel was 2nd team All Ohio as both a junior and a senior.  Mani also will be playing for the North team in the Ohio North South All Star game this April.

Findlay’s Noah Routson will continue his education and play football at Trine University.

Findlay_Trojans_LogoFindlay’s Noah Routson will continue his education and play football at Trine University.  Noah was a two year starter at right tackle for the Trojans and helped pave the way for one of the leading ground gainers in school history.  Noah used his long arms and agile feet to help protect the right side of the quarterback. This year he turned into a force in the run game leading the Trojans in pancake blocks. Noah also had the athletic ability to hook the end man on the line of scrimmage on outside run plays, and move out to block defensive backs and linebackers in space with our screen game.  This past fall saw Noah earn first team all TRAC honors as an offensive lineman and was a named special mention All Ohio.

Findlay’s Sierra Perry signed to play soccer with The University of Findlay.

Sierra is a 4 year starter for the Trojans on defense and 4 year letter winner for the FHS Girls Soccer Program.  Sierra was named 2nd Team Three Rivers Athletic Conference both her Sophomore and Junior season at FHS and with this past year earning First Team All TRAC honors as a Senior.  Additionally, Sierra was named Honorable Mention All-Northwest Ohio as Junior and 2nd team All-Northwest Ohio as senior.  In 2015, Sierra was chosen captain of the Girls Soccer team by her teammates and coaches.  Last season, Sierra led the team with 30 Steals and 90 Intercepts.  In four years on the field, Sierra compiled 90 steals and 260 intercepts.

Sam McClurg (Sylvania) is catcher on the Titan Baseball Team. He was Honorable Mention All TRAC both his sophomore and junior years. Summers he plays baseball for the Lima Locos Express.

An honor student, he plans to study athletic training in college. He has participated in the SJJ Christian Service Daytime Program at Sunbridge Schools. He has also volunteered at Tam O’Shanter with the Gliding Stars. He is a familiar face at the Titan Baseball Summer Sports Camp working with young players. He enjoys fishing.

Matthew Winzeler is quarterback for the Titans and was Honorable Mention All TRAC his junior and senior years. He is excited to be a part of the Rockets which has always been his dream. He played baseball and basketball his freshman and sophomore years.

He is active in Northpoint Church as a volunteer doing set up for Sunday worship and at a food pantry though his church. He volunteered through the SJJ Christian Service Daytime Program at Crossgates Elementary School. He coached youths at the Titan Football Summer Sport Camp. He enjoys golf and ping pong. He plans to study business.

St. John’s Jesuit’s Gabe Kynard will continue his education and play basketball at Lake Erie College.

Gabe Kynard (Holland) plays basketball guard for the Titans. As a junior he was First Team All TRAC and Second Team All District and his sophomore year he was Honorable Mention All TRAC and Honorable Mention All District. Last summer he played basketball for the All Ohio Black Team and before that for the Hidden Gems.

He is an honor student who plans to study business or become a physician’s assistant. He is very involved in Christian Service participating both his junior and senior year as part of the SJJ Christian Service Daytime Program both years at Rosary Cathedral. He participated in Christmas on Campus with underserved youths and Easter on Campus with preschoolers.

St. John’s Jesuit’s Sean Rattay signed to play football with The Naval Academy.

Sean Rattay is a center and guard for Titan football and has earned numerous honors. He was All State and All State Academic. He was First Team All TRAC and First Team All District his sophomore, junior and senior years. He was team captain for the Titans his junior and senior years. He started on the North Team for the Blue Grey All American Game which won the game 35-0. He was a National Football Foundation Inductee. He played basketball for the Titans his freshman and sophomore years.

Rattay was recommended for the Naval Academy by Congressman Bob Latta, U.S. House of Representatives. He is a member of the National Honor Society and consistently on the Honor Roll. He is a member of the Ambassador Society, Arabic Club and Christian Service. He has done volunteer work at the Swan Point Care Center and Spring Meadows Extended Care doing activities with the residents. He participated in Christmas on Campus and Easter on Campus. He was a peer tutor helping his fellow students.
